This Ramadan, Dream Smiles Dental in Bolton became more than just a dental clinic—we became a hub for hope, generosity, and giving back.
In partnership with Crescent Food Bank, our team launched a community-wide donation drive to support local families in Bolton facing food poverty. We opened our doors not just to patients, but to the wider community, inviting everyone to drop off essential items for those in need.
Bolton Came Through
The response was incredible. Throughout Ramadan, people from across Bolton and across Greater Manchester brought in donations—everything from long-life milk and baby formula to nappies, toiletries, and feminine hygiene products.
We were especially moved by the number of non-patients who visited us just to contribute. Their generosity filled our waiting area and our hearts.
“Charity means a lot to us as a practice,” said Ammarah Ahmed, Practice Manager at Dream Smiles Dental.
“When the team asked if we could become a drop-off point, I didn’t even hesitate. Giving back to the Bolton community is part of who we are.”
Volunteers on the Ground in Bolton
On the final Sunday of Ramadan, our team joined Crescent Food Bank volunteers to hand-deliver the donations across Bolton. We packed fresh fruit, vegetables, and essential items into bags and personally delivered them to local families.
It was an emotional and powerful experience—one that reminded us why community care is so important.
A Permanent Donation Hub in Bolton
Crescent Food Bank is run entirely by volunteers, which limits the hours their donation centre can be open. That’s why Dream Smiles Dental is now an official, permanent donation drop-off hub in Bolton.
